It's nice, but the dash tooltips should have a dark background and its text should be white. As it is now, under gnome-shell 3.4 at least, the black tooltip text is unreadable, because of the dark background. This happens in overview mode, and also on the zoomed-in desktop (with the dash-to-dock extension) if the desktop wallpaper (or the content of the window in the background of the dash) is dark.

What icon theme and bottom dock are you using?

Also how might one change the shell theme colors?

I believe I was using either Faience or Faenza at the time. The bottom dock is Avant Window Manager, and to change the shell theme colors, go to ~/.themes/Axiom/gnome-shell open up gnome-shell.css, find the values that you want to change and have some fun! That's how I started out creating this theme, actually =D

Sorry for taking so long to reply! Okay, so the problem is that you find the applications, but you can't see them? What version of Gnome Shell are you running, and do you have any extensions enabled? Does it happen with other themes or just this one? Let me know, and I'll try to find out what's causing it as soon as possible.

The ubuntu font I think, or it might be from the droid family... Sorry, I'm currently working in a different partition, I'll confirm once I reboot.

Hi, sorry for taking so long to reply, I haven't been getting on here much. Anyways, to answer your question, it's called the Avant Window Navigator. Here's its Launchpad page: [link]

A Stupid question: when i ran all the commands in the terminal, where do i find the .zip file?

Actually, that's a very good question, the terminal commands are just to install gnome tweak tool and the extension that you'll need to change your theme. To install the theme itself, download the .zip file from here and then follow the last two lines of instructions above. I hope this helps!

What's the system monitor you're using? The one on the second screen shot?

Hi! Is there a way to reduce the gap between the black of the panel and the one of the title?
These 2px of distance are pretty annoying to me :(

Hmm, yeah I can probably do that, can you post a screenshot of the problem area? I'm not quite sure what you're talking about, but I can definitely do my best to fix it.

Ok, here [link] when I maximize the window, as you can see, it stays away from bottom border of the theme (two pixels).

And here: [link] is a detail about the difference (1px, maybe, but it's relevant) between the clock and the rest.

How can I tweak your wonderful theme to avoid this pretty annoying (to me) discrepancies?

Many thanks :)

Thanks for pointing it out to me, I really appreciate your feedback (cuz you know, it helps me improve and all that =D). Anyways, to address our issue, if you open up gnome-shell.css in /home/USERNAME/.themes/Axiom-Elementary/gnome-shell, and find #panelCenter #panelRight and #panelLeft, you can change the border value to 0 to eliminate the gap.

It looks like you're using the extend left box extension as well, so you're going that have a rather annoying curved inset, even without the border. To counter this, I'd recommend either using the frippery move clock extension or editing the border-radius entry under #panelCenter and #panelRight.

Anyways, thanks for your feedback, you're right, the gap is rather ugly hehe. I'm thinking of eliminating the border on the message tray as well, just to keep that visual consistency, what do you think? I hope this helped! (and I'm sorry it's taken me so long to reply)

Hi! Yes, it helped me a lot! I prefere a "bubble" style, so I modified the upper radius too.
Here's the final result: [link]

Many thanks again!! :D

Thank you, I'm glad you think so =D btw, your GTK themes are awesome! They make me want to try creating some myself. Is it difficult?

Your welcome and thank you! I didn't totally create them just tweaked and merged the the looks I liked out of each to get what I wanted. It takes a lot of time and patience but you created a gnome shell theme so you know what I'm talking about. It's pretty much the same concept but you have to edit more files. One bit of advice is save after every change I did a lot of that save undo save again LOL!!Thank you so much for the comment. I love your work as well my friend! ;)

How can I make the top panel transparent.
I am using linux mint 12 but my top panel is black in colour.
By the way nice theme.

Well, there's currently no GUI to configure it, but if you are willing to dive into the css, it's pretty easy to find the entry for #panel and then change the rgba value.

Glad you like it =D
